What to do in Penang Island?

The main location for you to stay is Georgetown. If you wanna rush, you can visit it in one day (even in one afternoon). But I advise you to spend at least one day and one night. Penang is a beautiful city which provide to travelers good food and dynamic night life.

Walking along the streets and enjoying famous street art as kids on bicycle or new street art as the famous movie characters : the minions.

You also have beaches on Penang Island but, in my opinion there is others places in Malaysia to enjoy staying at the beach. The main interest of Penang Island was for me visiting this nice and charming city.

Where to stay in Penang/Georgetown?

Tipsy Tiger Party (20, Stewart Ln, Georgetown): dorm 35RM, Double room 80 RM. All rooms with AC. Free breakfast, free water, free tea/coffee all the day and 2 free drinks during happy hours at the Tipsy Tiger bar. For sure the best party guesthouse in town. Not quiet for those who wants to sleep early but that’s still my favorite in Penang.

75 traveler’s lodge (75, Lebuh Muntri, George Town, Penang) : Really welcoming, clean and quiet. Open 24/24. 45RM for a double room.

Where to eat in Penang/Georgetown?

The Red garden Food Paradise : The famous Georgetown food court.

The Daily Dose restaurant (36, Stewart Ln, Georgetown): The house BLT breakfast is amazing

The Weehler's Café (67, Lorong Love, George Town) : a good value for western food.
