There is not much to see in Manila, one or two days are enough to visit the major touristic places. Once you arrived here you will have the choice to stay in Hotels or Guesthouses and the prices are really different. So you can enjoy Manila even if you have a limited budget with basic comfort condition.

I stayed in Wanderers Guesthouse located 1750 Adriatico street, corner Nakpil st. Malate Manila.

That was a perfect choice. Manila is more expensive than places where I’ve been before in Asia. In Wanderers Guesthouse you will have a bed in a dorm for 350PHP (7€). The people I met and the Guesthouse spirit makes me no regret my choice. One more time I met new amazing people. I loved playing chess with a Italian traveler, talking with a french creative guy who want to become a clown to make people happy .

The Intramuros city is a testimony of the rich past. The architecture of this colorful city will makes you think to the south of Europe building style. The Spanish brought Roman Catholicism to Manila, founding many churches, convents, and schools. This influence remains to this day, as the Philippines is the only Asian country in which Christianity is the predominant faith.

Walking along the streets, having a nice tour of the Manila Church, enjoying the Santiago fort and the parks.

Getting interviewed by students in touristic places. I guess they have to do some work to practice English and tourist like us are the best target of them. We enjoyed it as usual.

At 4pm we let the old city center behind us and took a cab to join the Star City amusement park.

That was a funny experience and we had a lot of fun.

For 450 pesos we bought a full ride day ticket and being delighted to jump back in childhood.

We are leaving tomorrow for Puerto Princesa to pursue our trip in Philippines and we are exciting to reach Palawan and El Nido area.
