Hô Chi Minh is one of these city were something special happend.
You love it or you hate it.
Hô Chi Minh is a city of contrasts, between past and present, old traditions and new generation.
For sure Hô Chi Minh will surprise you in an way so go for it with an open mind !

The bulding are longer than larger.
This is very impressive for us, as western people.
They open their door all the day and that will for sure make you think in an other way what intimacy and privacy means.
And for sure and other look on your tidy room/home. Could also be a good inspiration to store all your mess at home. Up to you to deal with your neighbours.
In Hô Chi Minh, the traffic looks crazy but Vietnamese people are driving (most of them) safe.
The noise may surprise you because in our western countries we don’t use our carn horn every five minutes.
When I stand on the rooftop of my guesthouse I tried to know how many second I could stand there without hearing carn horn. The answer is less than one minute.

I was delighted as usual with the food street.
I recommend you to walk and goes where all your senses drives you : taste, smell, see, feel, and hear.

The best places to eat local food are always place where you see more local than tourists. This is also the best way to get good food at cheap prices.
Don’t miss The Museum of War. It is hard to see some pictures of the war but really important if you want to know more about what people of Vietnam lived. I was revolted about napalm bombs and effects on population even many years after. If you are like me you go out of this museum with mixed feeling. The war has always disgusted me and I truly believe there is always an other solution than fighting with someone else. In this museum I only saw population from both sides of the conflict were being sacrificed because of the greed of a minority of men.

The Central Post which is the place to send your postcard and a old colonial testimony building from the past.

Once you arrived in Hô chi Min, just be aware of facing these amazing experiences :
- Trying to explain what you want to eat and getting a strange noodle soup or the drink you wasn't expected
- Be cheated on prices (for sure you are a tourist)
- Negotiate ( a lot)
- Crossing the road as you never did in any country before
- Thinking Vietnamese people are yelling after you, but realize that they are just talking
- Thinking in a different way the use of a scooter and traffic regulations.
