Koh Tao – Koh Phangan

From Chiang Mai it’s a long trip to reach Koh Tao : 1073km. You can achieve it in booking a flight but for sure it wouldn’t be an adventure and of course not the same price.

After 14H in a sleeping train, 6h in a sitting train and 7h in a sleeping boat we deserve Koh Tao Island.

From Chiang Mai, I took a sleeping train for 11 hours, then I was in Bangkok train station at 6am on the morning the day after.

After a short break and a noodle soup, from Bangkok, I took a train to reach Chumphong during 6 hours and then a night ferry to reach Koh Tao for the sunrise.

Koh Tao is the smallest island but the best one for snorkelling.

Koh Phangan is a little paradise. You have to stay at cookies guesthouse. They have small bungalows on the beach and this is the best place to chill for me.

I enjoyed my stay and that was painful to leave.
