Most of the time I choosed to eat in the street and this is always my best advice. That’s where you will find cheap prices and the best food.
Most of the time cities have a night market, this is a real pleasure to walk along the street and eat from a small food truck to another.
But somewhere it could be more expensive than sitting in a place. Only one rule to follow when you go out for Breakfast, lunch or diner : trust your instinct and whatever the restaurant looks like, if you see local people eating there you are sure that you are making a good choice.

In Chiang Mai :
Julie’s Guesthouse : perfect guesthouse in town. One of the cheapest guesthouse in town you will spend 90 baht for a dorms and 100 baht – 120 baht each for a double bedroom. Good quality of services, welcoming, free city map, three areas to chill inside and a roof top. The Julie’s restaurant is also a good place to eat. meals are tasty and cheaps.

The Funky Monkey : realy tasty for the Pad Thai, only 50 Baht but fruits shakes are desapointing.
The Coconut Shell : perfect place to eat for a cheap price. Beware of the green curry if you are sensitive to spices. The red one is a better choice for you. Both are amazing.

The Reagge Bar : Nice live concert, good vibes and an after party when the bar is closed.
Wanna get a tatoo ? The master Tatoo was my choice, clean tools, serious staff, good work.
In Pai

Duang Guesthouse : in front of the bus station. Perfectly located in a street near the night market, but Pai is a really small town. You have to spend 200 or 300 bahts for a room.
Little Eden : Between Pai and Mae Hong Son, a little place of paradise with a swiming pool. You spend 400 bahts for a bungalow with twin beds and 600 bahts for a double room in a bungalow. The restaurant is expensive, walking in the village which is along the main road. Around the 7/9 supermarket you will find cheaper local places to eat.
In Mae Hong Son
Friends Guesthouse : nice and cheap place to stay. 300 bahts for a room.
In Koh Tao
Everything is a little bit more expensive in Koh Tao. This is a more worldwilde know touristic place. But I found somes places to chill really good.

Bubble Bungalows : a bungalow for 4 or 5 person 1100 Bahts. Clean and quiet area. Five minutes to the beach.
High Bar : Good place to chill, the view is beautiful before the sunset, otherwise you will see nothing. Prices for a drink are between 70 bahts for a beer chang and 150 bahts for a cocktail.

Natural High Bar : beautiful view on the wky and star at night. Wonderful place for a sunset. Prices for a drink are between 80 bahts for a beer chang and 160 bahts for a cocktail.
For small snacks : the supermarket the 7/9. You will find sandwiches ham/cheese, sausages/cheese for 30 bahts each. The cashier warm up the sandwich for you.
In Koh Panghan
Cookies Bungalow and 99 Beach are the first guesthouses build in Ko Panghan. They offer for good prices (cheapest in the island) nices double bed bungalows and most of them have a direct view on the sea and access to the beach. This is one of the best spot in Koh Panghan, for sure the best sunset view. For a double bungalow, you will spend 550 Bahts.
